White sand beaches, tropical cocktails and no makeup needed, I mean seriously...
Being in the Bahamas is as close to paradise as it gets (for someone who hasn't been to Bora Bora or Fiji or Turks and Caicos, so I'll check back whenever that happens). For now, I can say that it's definitely the most relaxing place I've been to and with minimum planning involved. Every time I've gone, I've stayed at the Atlantis resort in Nassau. You might think it sounds super basic, but I'll be the first to say...it's not! Yes, Mary-Kate and Ashley filmed a movie there once but if you're a 90's kid like me, I like to think that that makes you at least a little excited.
The main reason why I love Atlantis is because once you're in, there's really no reason to leave. It's its own little paradise. In my opinion, the restaurants are great, the shops are adorable and there's no shortage of activities to do. P.S. they have swimming with sharks if you're feeling adventurous. Also, because the resort is divided into different buildings, you're able to choose what vibe you're looking for. Personally, I love the Cove building. It's trendy and modern plus the pool is adult only. Not to discriminate against the little ones, but my point is that I like the fact that there's options for everyone.
So maybe it's a little basic, but if you're looking for a stress free trip I genuinely recommend visiting the Atlantis Resort in Nassau. At the end of the day, its better in the Bahamas.
Also, I'd love to know if you have any "paradise-ish" destinations that I must go to!
